I recently went on a 2-hour paid tour, and things took an unexpected turn when I had to leave early. As I was heading out, the guide handed me his hat, hinting that I should tip. It really surprised me in front of the whole group, and since tipping isn’t customary where I’m from, I ended up leaving without giving anything.
Now I'm left feeling a bit guilty about it. Was it expected to tip for such a short tour, or was my decision understandable given the circumstances? Has anyone else experienced something similar? I’d love to hear your thoughts on how to handle these situations better in the future!
