Hey everyone,
I’ve been reflecting on the current state of the Canadian job market, and I can’t help but feel that we might be heading downhill. It seems like the previous boom cycles—like those from 2005 to 2007 and 2018 to 2021—brought us job mobility, solid raises, bonuses, great benefits, and even some unique perks. But now, it feels like we’re in a constant battle just to keep our jobs.
With quarterly downsizing, job amalgamation, AI automation, and offshoring becoming more common, is anyone else feeling this pressure? Do you think we’re entering a “Hunger Games” style environment for employment? I’d love to hear your thoughts and experiences on this topic! How are you navigating these changes?
Thanks
