Hey everyone!
I recently had a fun experience at the grocery store that got me thinking. While shopping with my toddler, my wife encouraged her to ask the bakery for a cookie since she was being so well-behaved. To my surprise, the baker seemed ready for this request and had a box of cookies on hand! My wife mentioned that she used to get cookies as a child, but I never experienced that growing up.
So, I’m curious— is this a common practice in Halifax or Nova Scotia, or do grocery stores in other parts of Canada do the same? Have any of you had similar experiences with your kids? Let’s share our stories and see if this cookie tradition is more widespread than I thought!
