Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out for some advice. I’m 40 and recently laid off from my work as a window and door installer. Lately, it’s been tough to find even part-time work, especially at this time of year.
So far, I’ve mostly been searching on Indeed, but I’m wondering—are there other local job boards, websites, or even networking strategies that people in the Okanagan have had success with? How’s the job market looking for skilled trades right now?
Any tips, personal experiences, or suggestions would be really appreciated. I’m open to hearing about creative ways to get back into work, even short-term gigs or contract opportunities.
